Marianne Williamson
Death and Dying
Original Air Date: October 9, 2007
Audio Listen in to part of the show!

For a thoughtful conversation about death and the process of dying, Marianne talks to David Kessler, author of The Needs of the Dying: A Guide for Bringing Hope, Comfort, and Love to Life's Final Chapter. Marianne and David discuss ways to express grief, offer assistance and show respect when a loved one is in the final days of their life. David also sheds light on the benefits of hospice and palliative care for easing one's transition from life into death.

If we keep the topic of death at bay, we risk missing important lessons about life, Marianne says. "To talk about death and to think about it and to acknowledge its place in our lives adds to the richness and the fullness of life and makes us appreciate life more," Marianne says.
