After the September 11 terrorist attacks, Ranya Idliby, a Muslim and mother of two living in New York City, began looking for a way to educate her children and others about the similarities between the Muslim, Jewish and Christian faiths. Her plan was to write a children's book with two other mothers, but instead, Ranya and mothers Suzanne Oliver, a Christian, and Priscilla Warner, who is Jewish, wrote The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew—Three Women Search for Understanding.

The women talk with Dr. Oz about how their idea to help their children turned into a journey of serious discussions that explored their own stereotypes, misconceptions and prejudices about each other's faiths. The authors say their book encourages others to start interfaith groups and start an honest dialogue, create awareness and unite people of all faiths.
