The House That Love Built
Original Air Date: December 20, 2007
At the age of 29, Millard Fuller became a self-made millionaire, then gave his fortune away to devote his life to helping others. More than 30 years later, Millard is best known as the founder of Habitat for Humanity® and the Fuller Center for Housing—organizations responsible for providing housing to more than 1 million low-income people around the world on a nonprofit, no-interest basis. Millard talks with Dr. Oz about the calling from Christ he and his wife Linda received in the 1970s, prompting them to sell all their possessions and move to rural Georgia to build houses for those in need. "We felt this was our calling, to build houses as a way to express God's love," Millard says. Dr. Oz also talks with Bettie B. Youngs, author of The House That Love Built , about Millard and Linda's life of giving to and inspiring others. Related Resources
