Do you want to save money and become more environmentally conscious at the same time? Author David Bach talks to Jean about his book Go Green, Live Rich: 50 Simple Ways to Save the Earth and Get Rich Trying and about how his family is saving money and living better through a green lifestyle. Plus, Jean talks with journalist Bill Kurtis about his goal to raise beef that is better for the environment through his large-scale, grass-fed cattle business, Tallgrass Beef.

Going green doesn't have to mean making major sacrifices. In fact, David says there are some environmentally friendly things you can do, starting today, to make a positive impact on the Earth and your pocketbook.

David says you will not only save $50 per year on your energy bill by buying an EPA "Energy Star"-rated washing machine—you'll also cut your water use by 7,000 gallons a year.
Turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth, installing low-flow showerheads and buying a dual-flush toilet will not only conserve water, David says it'll also save you $72 a year on your water bill.
By switching to recycled toilet paper, you can save $40a year, and by switching to compact fluorescent bulbs, David says you'll save $45 over the lifetime of a lightbulb.
If you use public transportation instead of a car for just one errand a week, David says you would save $215 a year.
