Throw in a boy from Queens, whip him into a superstar chef, add in two of his hot New York restaurants...mix in his hit TV series The Restaurant, add a splash of sex appeal and you have Rocco DiSpirito and his recipe for success! So what can't Rocco live without in his kitchen at home?
"Hey, I'm Italian so I love cheese," he says. "One thing I could never live without is a big hunk of parmesan cheese in my life. It doesn't go bad, the older it is, the better it tastes. [Another] thing that I have to have in my kitchen is a peppermill filled with white pepper. ...I have to admit I have one of the fanciest ovens in the world at Union Pacific, my restaurant, but at home my favorite oven is the toaster oven. I make just about everything in it from toast in the morning to chicken and salmon entrees at night."
