In January 2007, Oprah's Angel Network opened the doors to an innovative new primary school for 1,000 boys and girls in the poverty stricken community of KwaZulu-Natal.

Free The Children
To date, Oprah's Angel Network has completed 60 new schools in 13 countries around the world, and more are on the way! Plus, The Oprah Winfrey Foundation has built seven new schools in Afghanistan.

$1 Million for School Uniforms
In December 2005, Oprah's Angel Network provided more than $1 million worth of school uniforms to more than 18,000 orphaned and disadvantaged children in seven provinces throughout South Africa.
