Q: I refuse to eat fish and will not take fish oil—I might as well eat the fish, no? So how do I replace this in my diet? How do I get the omegas?

A: Luckily, nature gave you a diverse menu to choose from to get your 2 grams of omega-3s a day. Don't care for the fish? Then integrate these ingredients to get more of the heart-healthy omega fatty acids into your diet: walnuts, freshly ground flaxseeds, avocados and, to a lesser degree, olive oil. And most fish oil capsules are distilled—that is, without contaminants. But our personal choices are: walnuts every day, avocados occasionally, and fish commonly.
