Oprah's Big Give on Oprah.com is working with established partners in the nonprofit sector—Network for Good, GuideStar and VolunteerMatch—to help viewers donate to the charity of their choice and find volunteer opportunities in their community.

Network for Good is a secure, convenient giving system that makes it possible to give anywhere, anytime online. Network for Good has processed over $175 million in online donations to more than 30,000 different nonprofit organizations and they are approved by the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance for standards of charity accountability.

Volunteer opportunities are powered by VolunteerMatch, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping everyone find a great place to volunteer. VolunteerMatch is the preferred internet recruiting tool for more than 56,000 nonprofit organizations.

Through the Network for Good giving system, you can search more than 1 million 501c3 charities that are in the GuideStar database. Your donation records are stored for tax time and you can also save your favorite charities list. You can make a one-time donation(s) to your favorite charity or charities, or set up an automated donation (monthly, quarterly, annually,) which makes it easy to contribute throughout the year. All donations are tax-deductible, and 100 percent of your gift can go to the charity you are donating to if you choose to add the processing fee to your transaction.
